I Know What I Want Now

I know what I want now - I want to create Give breath to ideas Design something’s fate Turn words into stories Or notes into tune Or maybe I’ll try Something different, and new Painting, or carving Or filming on set Photography, dancing They’d be fun I bet Something where I can Turn thoughts into more That bids me, “Dig deeper “than ever before.” For I want to help Us- the world as a whole. So I’ll speak to the heart As I speak from the soul But here’s the catch, The “hard place” to my stone: I want to collaborate, Not work alone Though working alone Can be worthwhile and fun Up til now in life It’s what I’ve always done And I’m longing for more For to share in life’s passion A partner, a group, A team of some fashion Friends who I’ll help to Create something new Well, you’ve gotten this far... Could it be you?

Love & Death

If the last time was the last time  I saw your smiling face The last time that I held your hand in mine; If between then and “next time” You were to leave this place  And I found out that we were out of time How would I recover? For how long would I grieve? How many broken tears would leave my eyes? And how long would it take me, If you’d abruptly leave, For me to settle down and realize  That you were never leaving... For You are always there  Your Spirit dances step in step with mine  And I know when I talk to you Your voice I still will hear  And love, in ways that words cannot define I do not have to doubt it Or act like it’s not real Because the world says, “no, this cannot be!” There’s nothing that could sway me To deny what I feel: Even death could not keep you from me -Journey

A Divine Composition

The days may be cloudy The nights might be long You might have been called By a long, lonely song Your hope might be shattered Your faith might be bruised But none of that matters, Because you were used By Something much greater Than mind can conjure Of which It's Divinity You can be sure It used you to fashion, shape, and Sing a Song With intricate parts Singing softly, and strong With so many melodies, Harmonies, rests A tune so important We had to invest So much of your time, And so much of your pain; Each one of your tears Gave this Song its refrain But the Music's not ended, Your future not grim; The Light lives inside you And Shines from within You *can* change the melody- We'll sing along So stand up, dust off, And Sing a new Song.
